Christophe contacts our mechanic in France to submit our problem... Several cases arise and we need a mechanic specialized in diesel.
Mario discovers that a turbo control valve lever has come loose...maybe.
We reach La Paz in two days not to tire our traveling companion.
Anyway we won't leave La Paz without having it repaired.
We find on the internet the address of a diesel specialist, but it is only dedicated to trucks. He kindly looks for an available mechanic and directs us to Noah.
He can only receive us on the 21st because his appointment book is full.
All we have to do is fill up with water and food before heading to our beach.
Santa Rosalia
We consult the "Ioverlander" site and find a well-rated mechanic.
Unfortunately it is fully booked and cannot give us an appointment.
We are looking for another mechanic who will change the diesel filter for us, since it may contain water due to condensation.
Why not !!!
After that we resume our journey, but the problem still persists.
After the town of "Santa Rosalia" the road climbs steeply and we end up halfway uphill painfully in first gear. We park and decide to turn around.
Reconsultation of the "Ioverlander" site in search of a mechanic.
We find Mario who immediately takes the wheel and goes for a drive test with Christophe.
With his son they think about the catalytic converter which could be clogged. They ask us to wait 1 hour and a half because they have to finish another vehicle.
It is already 4 o'clock and we quickly understand that the repair will not be done this evening.
We park on the street to spend the night
Loreto
We drive back the opposite way to join the national road ... The landscapes are magnificent and the colors in the early morning give clarity to the whole.
We still have our engine power problem.
We arrive late in Loreto and we cannot ask a mechanic for help.
We park on the "Malecon" and spend our evening consulting the internet to try to find the origin of our problem.
Several possibilities ... we will advise tomorrow.
Playa Conejo
We’ve in mind to join the reserve of " El ojo del liebre" to see the whales.
The road is long and we are planning a few stages.
We spot a well-known surfer site that sounds very good. But to get there we have to take an unpaved road.
Indeed to cover the 16 km it takes us hours and are shaken once to the left then to the right...The camper creaks from everywhere.
We arrive on a site that is not too sandy. But not great.
All along the road we feel that the motorhome has lost power. He has difficulty climbing small hills.
We are worried and not being mechanics we ask ourselves a lot of questions
.
We stay two days without much pleasure. Positive point .... there is no wind !!!
