Before crossing the border we are looking for a doctor. Christophe’s temperature does not fall despite the drugs.

We see an emergency department in a hospital. Unfortunately, there are a lot of patients waiting and it doesn’t seem very clean.

We ask at the reception the address of a private clinic with an emergency service.

We find the clinic and after explaining the purpose of our visit and completing the admission form, Christophe is taken in charge by a nurse.

She quickly announces that he has the symptoms of the "Covid", then she leaves him in her box and disappears.

Then another nurse comes to put him an infusion to lower his temperature.

The minutes pass to the rhythm of his infusion, and finally he is received by a doctor who prescribes a prescription not knowing too much if it is Covid or bronchitis!!

It has not been tested for covid!!

It is getting late and we prefer to cross the border the next day.
Guaviran

On the tour of the Jesuit missions in Argentina we still have one to visit.

* Mission Santa Maria La Mayor: There is absolutely nothing to see ... We wonder why it is mentioned in the circuit.

We continue our journey towards the border with Uruguay.
Obera

Today on the program: visit of the three Jesuit missions in Argentina.

* Mission San ignacio Mini: The Jesuit ruins of San Ignacio, are the most emblematic reductions or missions of the Society of Jesus in America. In 1984, they were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

In 1610, Fathers José Cataldino and Simón Maceta established the mission to evangelize the indigenous Guarani people.

The style of construction of this establishment is called "baroque-guarani". Around 1715, about 4,000 people lived there. In 1767, the Jesuits were expelled from America by King Charles III of Spain and, as a result, the reductions were abandoned and the jungle began to seize it.

* Mission Santa Ana: Partially cleared of the forest that covered it, it offers the view of the remains of its church and cemetery. The other buildings of this important mission disappeared following its abandonment and the invasion by the jungle.

* Mission Senora de Loreto: It was first founded in 1610 and moved to its current site in 1631. It is nicknamed the Loreto II. It was the capital of the Jesuit missions of Guayrá. The Jesuits decided to print their books themselves, in Latin and Guaraní, and set up the country’s first printing house.

These are not the most beautiful missions we have discovered. Essentially in ruins, they are invaded by the forest and we have a hard time finding our way and imagining all of its missions.

We land in Obera two days, Christophe having a fever and a red throat, we think he has angina.
San Ignacio

The comfort of the room leaves much to be desired as well as breakfast. However we had a good night.

Before joining the garage, we return to "Western Union" to allow us to pay the bill.

The part is reassembled and testing can begin ... As always there are still some adjustments to be made.
Here we go again, attentive to the slightest "sound or noise" coming from the engine ... Not very pleasant driving.

By the way we stock up on supplies in a hypermarket, then direction San Ignacio.
Encarnation
We’re still crossing a border.

The exit from Paraguay is a bit laborious ... There are two lines to get to the border and smart kids are trying to get past the other vehicles... Nothing is organized: as usual.

The formalities are fast and we find ourselves on the bridge between the two countries.

Here too entry into Argentina is quite easy ... And our companion must pass a scanner ... Nothing suspicious ... We get a TIP for 8 months.

Our first step when arriving in Argentina is to look for a Western Union counter. The exchange rate is much better than in the distributors of traditional banks. This difference can go up to 25%.

As usual our GPS leads us nowhere ... We are forced to search for another address.

Two minutes later the clutch pedal breaks ... Panic on board. We are on a steep street with little space to park. We manage somehow to land on the side.

It is Monday, in a new country, without money, without SIM card to have internet or call a garage. We could not have asked for better!!

Christophe asks for help from the inhabitants of the neighborhood and finally after several tests, we find a tow truck big enough to take us to a garage.

The driver knows a mechanic who can fix us the clutch pedal ... We left for the garage ... Christophe perched in the camper and Jean Pierre at the front of the tow truck. The journey seems long.

Upon arrival we were received by Manuel. After hearing our explanations and checking the pedal, he announces that the repair can be done the next day and that the model of the part is available

However we cannot sleep in the camper. He tells us a hotel at 100 m that we reserve then we look for a counter " Western Union " to withdraw our agent.

We asked for the equivalent of 200 euros in Argentine pesos... This translates into 235,000 pesos in 1,000 pesos notes ... or 235 notes ... Imagine our head and the difficulty to come during a cash payment: it is as if we were only paying with 1 euro notes.

We go back to the hotel before going to dinner in a pizzeria.
