Puerto Varas / Puerto Montt

We have four days left before our departure.

We take advantage of this expectation to:
* change the shock absorbers
* make the latest purchases
* Relax by the lake and enjoy the sun
* clean the motorhome thoroughly
* update the site and photos

The days go by quickly ... Our timing was well prepared
Puerto Varas

In a week we leave for New Zealand for 2 months and half and have to leave our camper in a storage.

Knowing that we are flying on January 24 to "Puerto Montt" in Chile, we have two options:

* Either leave it to "Bariloche" Argentinian side, which forces us to take a bus to connect in 7 hours " Puerto Montt ".
* Either leave it in " Puerto Montt ".

We have found in each city a storage which gives us the choice.

So today, we go to the storage next to the airport to check if it corresponds to our expectation. Inot, we will pass the border to leave it to " Bariloche "
Good luck, we are reassured ...
We sit in the middle of the afternoon at "Puerto Varas" in a gas station that will be our point of bivouac while waiting for our departure
Osormo

Today, once again, a border crossing...

We pass through the international border pass "Cardinal Antonio Samoré" which crosses the Andes mountain range, on the border between Chile and Argentina.

It is one of the main passages in the southern Andes.  The access road is surrounded by spectacular scenery with dense forests, lakes, volcanoes, rivers, waterfalls

There are not many people and the formalities are quick.

We stop at the first supermarket to make some provisions since the sanitary controls are very strict.

We don’t reaching our final destination " Puerto Montt " due to the same risk of theft or vandalism as in " Bariloche ".

We stop long before.
