Early wake up this morning to get to the airport. Our destination : Canada
The great adventure starts today !
A few tears when leaving Letta and Maria.
We land in Toronto with 30 minutes delay. Excellent flight on Condor, with no turbulances and an excelent on board service.
Before landing, we fly during 3 hours over the northern part of Canada that looks very inhospitable, covered with water and rough lands.
Very quick customs formalities. Your answer a few questions on a machine which takes your picture and that's it.
One hour after landing we are in our hotel in the center of Toronto.
First walk in our neighborhood this evening. It's a very lively district. We like it.
The seven hours jet lag pushes us to bed . It's 10 P.M. here but 5 A.M. in Athens that we left this "morning".

We spent most of the morning exploring the Royal Ontario Museum, the largest in Canada with more than 6 millions artifacts.
We especialy appreciated the rooms dedicated to the origins of Canada and its first people, and the ones about the biodiversity and the world in danger.
We then walked all the way down to the harbour, passing through Kensington market that we didn't really liked.
After an indian meal we took the ferry to "Toronto Islands", a haven of peace among parks, forests and sandy beaches.
Altogether, we've been walking 40 km ( iphone report...) during those 2 days in Toronto !
Quiet and relaxing evening at the hotel.
Of course, because of the jet lag we're up at 4 A.M.
We spend the morning discovering the 4th biggest city of the american continent, known as the most cosmopolitan city of the world.
We wander through different districts where high skyscapers share the street with victorian style houses. This constructions leave enough space for a lot of greenery : trees, parks, flowers and a lot of black squirrels.
Saint Lawrence Market is a torture for the one who're on a diet. You just want to buy all the food so nicely displayed on the stalls. We cant resist and have lunch there.
We enjoy an organ concert in the anglican Saint James Cathedral and walk back to the hotel. We're worn out...
The end of the afternoon is dedicated to the museum, fashion and university districts.
